Hi, I’m Tracy, professional dog groomer and the proud owner of Prince Pooch, Luxurious Dog Grooming based in the rolling countryside of north Hampshire, equidistant between Basingstoke and Winchester, close to Micheldever Station.
I have a lifelong passion for all animals and live with my long-suffering husband Ian and our wonderful fur babies – Bumble, Pebble and new family member, Teasle – all chocolate Labradors and our beautiful Bengal cat – Rosie.
I have always wanted to work with animals, but like many others, followed an initial successful career path in private aviation, before getting the chance to embark on my dream job working with dogs. I have a brand-new purpose built studio in my garden with wonderful views over the surrounding fields and countryside.
I pride myself on my professional dog grooming services and exceptional customer service for both my two-legged and four-legged clients.
Training, Qualifications and Insurance as a Dog Groomer
My initial training as a dog groomer was with a lovely lady called Julie at Just Dogs in Thatcham (who has now emigrated to Tasmania), where I completed an intensive 20 day course. Once I had completed my course I volunteered to work Saturdays with Julie, so that I could gain more hands on experience from a seasoned dog groomer. Julie emigrated and I attended Sparsholt College where I qualified, with distinctions, at Level 3 City and Guilds Dog Grooming.
I hold a current qualification in Emergency Dog First Aid (and one for humans too…) and have attended various workshops to enhance and continue my learning.
